Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Great help for navigating the internship process   January 11, 2009

5 out of 5 found this review helpful

I bought this book to help me prepare for my pre-doctoral internship in psychology and found it to be quite useful. It covers a wide range of topics including how to decide which sites are a good fit for you, filling out the AAPI applications, tips and examples for the essays and cover letters, interview suggestions and sample questions, and general info about the match process. Not only did it help me to have a better understanding of the process but it was really useful in providing some guidance in writing my essays and cover letters. Of course, lots of people use this book so you can't just copy the examples. At this point, I have quite a handful of interviews so I think my applications were well received and have found this book to be helpful every step of the way.

Great book whether you have a lot of guidance during the internship process or only a little. The book provides great essay examples and instructions for the whole application process from start to finish. Definitely recommend.

Never received my item...I wrote to Amazon and they never responded to me. I have to go through my credit card company now to dispute the charge. Amazon's customer service really disappointed me.
